More Tips...

1. Club soda is effective in getting up fresh stains in carpet. Just pour some on the spot, let it set for a few seconds, and then sponge it up.

2. To remove candle wax from a carpet, place a brown paper bag over the spot and put a hot iron over it. The wax will be absorbed into the bag.

3. To remove red wine from a carpet, scrub the stain with club soda or cover the stain with salt to let it absorb the wine. Vacuum the residue. If the stain remains, wipe with a solution of detergent, water, and a few drops of white vinegar.

4. Be sure to use floor mats (clean them often too) or throw rugs at all entry ways. Just think of it as protecting your investment! This not only helps keep your carpets cleaner, it also protects the fibers from abrasion and dulling.

5. Vacuum often! Vacuuming cannot wear out your carpet but soil can. Up to 80% of the soil in carpet is of the dry particulate type that can be removed with a vacuum.
